Dates needed
Include arrival and collection dates, and whether you need daycare, boarding or a trial.
Age and neuter status
Dogs need this clearly stated, especially males over 12 months.
Vaccination date
Records must arrive at least 7 days before the first stay. Dog kennel cough must be given at least 14 days before arrival.
Behaviour notes
Say if your animal guards food, dislikes handling, barks at gates, hides from strangers or has never boarded before.

Animal Mash gives the exact premises address after a meet-and-sniff visit is arranged, so the yard stays a working animal space rather than a drop-in reception.
Service area: IP1, IP2, IP3, IP4, IP5 and nearby villages by arrangement. The optional weekday pet taxi covers addresses within 5 road miles of IP4 for £8 each way.

The First Visit Is Short on Purpose
Owner stays on site
The visit is not a trial separation. It lets Mara see how the dog enters, sniffs, recovers and responds while the owner is present.
Usually afternoons
Meet visits are free and usually offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Vaccination records
Bring or email vaccination proof before the first stay. Dogs need kennel cough given at least 14 days before arrival.
Half-day daycare trial
All new daycare dogs must complete a paid half-day trial before being accepted for full days or boarding.
Deposit and payment
How Dates Are Secured
A 25% deposit secures boarding dates.
The balance is due 48 hours before arrival.
Cancellation terms are confirmed in writing before the deposit is taken.
Daycare is paid weekly in advance.
Boarding is normally booked 2 to 6 weeks ahead.
August, Easter and Christmas school holidays often fill 8 to 10 weeks ahead.
Minimum stays
Short Gaps Still Need Settling Time
Dogs and cats have a 2 night minimum stay.
School holidays have a 3 night minimum.
Christmas and New Year have a 4 night minimum.
No arrivals or collections on bank holidays.

Food supplied by the owner in labelled portions.

Vaccination records emailed at least 7 days before the first stay.

Emergency contact supplied, with someone who can make decisions if you are travelling or in hospital.

Bedding preference confirmed. Animal Mash can supply bedding, but familiar bedding can help if it is clean and suitable.

Medication policy understood. Animal Mash does not take animals needing overnight medical monitoring, injections, post-operative observation or 24-hour one-to-one care.

Webcam consent and privacy understood if camera updates or the private add-on are requested.
